About Henry
Henry holds a Bachelors of Engineering (B. Eng), Materials & Metallurgical Engineering, Second Class Upper Division, from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Nigeria and MSc Materials & Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria. Henry has special interest in Corrosion and Materials Engineering, Pipeline Engineering and Piping Materials Engineering. He has several years of experience within the oil and gas design industry as a Pipeline Engineer, Cathodic Protection Engineer, Materials and Corrosion Engineer and Piping Materials Engineer. He is currently working with CresTech Engineering Limited, (Member of the Technip Nigeria), Lagos, Nigeria, as a Pipeline/Corrosion Engineer. Henry has been a member of PLAN since 2011.
TOPIC: “FEED Overview and Pipeline Design”
The paper would explain the three phases of engineering designs (Conceptual, FEED and Detailed). The meaning of FEED shall be adequately explained. The paper shall cover the typical pipeline design components for FEED onshore and offshore pipeline design. The typical FEED pipeline deliverables (Pipeline Materials Selection, Wall thickness Calculation, Cathodic Protection Designs, Alignments sheet, Approach details etc) shall be covered.

Joseph’s area of specialization is Corrosion and Materials Engineering, Pipeline Engineering and Piping Materials Engineering. He has over 30 years of experience within the oil and gas design industry as a Pipeline Engineer, Head of Inspections, Pipeline Manager etc in companies like SPDC, RWTUV, LNG Karrattha and Bonny. He is a renowned speaker and motivational speaker sharing his experience to the “new generation” of Engineers. He recently retired from Nigeria LNG and now runs his own consulting firm JSD Value Consult. Joseph is the National Executive Chairman of PLAN, and has been a member since 2007.
